Architect Niovi Zarampouka-Chatzimanou and artist Theo Prodromidis are working with young people living in the multicultural area of Victoria Square in Athens as well as musicians, artists, and media producers to create a hip-hop album based on local oral histories. Participants are learning how to conduct oral history research, write lyrics, produce music, and shoot music videos as a means of reflecting on local and national identities. The project will culminate in a concert in Victoria Square on March 25, 2021, which marks the bicentenary of the Greek uprising against the Ottoman Empire.
