Greek daily Kathimerini featured on its front page Smells like butter! The exhibition, structured around an audiovisual installation, explores how children experienced the traumas of the 1940s and what sensorial memories they have carried with them into their old age. The exhibition is part of the SNFPHI project A History of Childhood Senses: War, Occupation, and the City as Playground, for which filmmaker Eva Stefani, journalist Katerina Oikonomakou, and artist Zafos Xagoraris established an archive that combines filmed testimonies with rare footage from the Nazi occupation of Athens.
