Historian Eleni Kyramargiou worked with the high schools of Keratsini-Drapetsona to study the material culture of Asia Minor refugees. Under her supervision, local students documented through oral history, video, and photography the histories connected to objects such as religious icons, musical instruments, and fishing tools that their grandparents brought with them when they came to Greece in the 1920s. Eleni also developed a how-to guide for high school educators interested in pursuing oral history projects that take objects as vantage points and presenting the outcomes in online exhibitions.
