Corfu’s Other Voices: The Inmates’ Newspaper

Corfu’s Other Voices: The Inmates’ Newspaper

  • By: caravan project

This initiative from the caravan project involves the creation of a digital and printed newspaper by inmates at the prison of Corfu attending the second chance school. The caravan project team will train and support participants in all stages of the newspaper’s publication: research, cataloging materials, graphic design, and writing. Through collaborations with the second chance school and the vocational high school in Corfu and the Athens Lifelong Learning Institute, the project aims to give the inmates a voice, enable them to turn their experiences into narrative and design, and open up a channel of communication between those inside and outside of the prison.
