SNFPHI is joining with the Thessaloniki International Film Festival to organize a discussion between SNFPHI Director and Professor of History Mark Mazower and film critic Manolis Kranakis on public history and the legacies of World War II. The discussion, part of the Festival’s retrospective on Takis Kannelopoulos, will follow the screening of his first feature film Glory Sky (Ouranos, 1962), which depicts the retreat of a band of soldiers from the Albanian front and is considered a masterpiece of anti-war cinema.
